Making sure that the HVAC system is maintained and inspected is important. By doing so, you will help make sure the parts and components are working. They should always be in the best condition so they are efficient when the furnace operates. If the filter is dirty, you will want to make sure to clean it. When it is recommended, the filter should be replaced. If you are not sure what type of filter, make sure to ask us. Getting a filter that is too small or too large can cause issues for the system. Also, make sure to notice when the filter should be changed. Doing so will help keep the furnace operating efficiently.

Making sure to notice Issues

Between visits, also make sure to notice if the system is operating out of the norm. Any odd noises or sounds should be looked at as soon as possible. Even if it is something minor, the issue can become worse over time. If a part is starting to wear out, it will cause damage to other nearby parts of the furnace. There could also be a chance there is debris stuck in the furnace that should be removed. Make sure to notice when the sound occurs, that way we can inspect quickly the source of the issue. Always be aware of the monthly energy bill as well. If it is higher than normal, chances are there is an issue.

Make sure to check the other parts of the furnace and HVAC system besides the filter. This should include the ductwork and the thermostat. If there is damage to the ductwork, it should be repaired so the heat does not escape. Also, make sure that the thermostat has the set temperature and actual temperature near the same. If there is a big difference, then the thermostat may be malfunctioning. If this is the case, make sure to contact us as soon as possible. That way we can inspect the system for you.
