Make sure to always inspect the HVAC system and filter for your home. The filter is designed to remove any dust, dirt, and other pollutants from your home. By inspecting it regularly, you can help ensure it is in the most efficient condition possible to operate. There are some tips to know if your filter or HVAC system needs to be inspected. You can also contact us, and we can advise you on a schedule.

You should remember to change the filter regularly, and check it at least once a month. This is especially important if you have pets, a large family, you or a family member smokes, anyone in the household has allergies or asthma. These all increase the amount of dirt that the filter will pick up as the air travels through your home. By running the system with a clogged or dirty filter, you increase the amount of wear and strain on parts of the unit. This will then increase the chance for frequent repairs needing to be done on it.

If you notice evidence of microbial growth or mold on the filter.  A clogged filter will continue to put strain on the HVAC system. If there is an issue you will want to make sure it is inspected by us as soon as possible. This will help to prevent any further issues that might otherwise occur if you ignore it. If there is dampness in the air, you may experience mold more often.
